About us

  Ramin Power Plant is a natural gas-fired plant situated 20 km north of Ahvaz, close to Karoun River, Iran. It is a thermal power plant which is capable of producing 1850 MW of electricity.

 It is one of the most important infrastructural projects that have been put into operation in Iran. The first unit came on line in 1979. Four years later unit 2 was completed in 1983.

The first four units were designed and built with total capacity of

305 MW power generating. Both fifth and sixth units were implemented

with 315 MW.
